Retrofit project by Joseph Madden Plumbing, Heating, and Renewables

Joseph Madden Plumbing, Heating, and Renewables recently undertook a retrofit project that involved the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump. The customer was looking for an energy-efficient heating solution for his home, and after careful consideration, he decided to opt for the Viessmann Vitocal 150A 10kw Air Source Heat Pump.

The installation process began with a thorough assessment of the property. The team from Joseph Madden Plumbing, Heating, and Renewables carefully examined the existing heating system and determined the best approach for integrating the new heat pump. They also took into account the specific requirements of the client, such as the desire for underfloor heating on the ground floor and large steel radiators on the first floor.

Once the assessment was complete, the team got to work on installing the Air Source Heat Pump. They carefully positioned the outdoor unit in a suitable location that would allow for optimal performance. The unit was securely mounted and connected to the indoor components through a series of pipes.

Next, the team installed a 250L heat pump cylinder from Westbridge Controls. This cylinder would store hot water produced by the heat pump and distribute it throughout the property as needed. The cylinder was carefully connected to both the heat pump and the existing plumbing system.

On the first floor, Templo aluminum steel radiators from Westbridge Controls were installed to ensure efficient heating in each room. These radiators were carefully positioned to provide maximum comfort while also complementing the aesthetic of each space.

On the ground floor, underfloor heating was chosen as an ideal solution for providing consistent warmth throughout larger open areas. The team from Joseph Madden Plumbing, Heating, and Renewables worked meticulously to install underfloor heating pipes beneath the flooring surface. This would allow for even heat distribution and eliminate any cold spots.

Throughout the installation process, Joseph Madden Plumbing, Heating, and Renewables ensured that all work was carried out to the highest standards. They paid close attention to detail and made sure that every component was installed correctly and functioning optimally.

Once the installation was complete, Mr. Johnson was delighted with the results. The Air Source Heat Pump provided efficient and cost-effective heating for his home, while the large steel radiators and underfloor heating ensured a comfortable living environment throughout.

Thanks to the expertise of Joseph Madden Plumbing, Heating, and Renewables, the home now benefits from a state-of-the-art heating system that not only reduces energy consumption but also enhances overall comfort. The team’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has once again proven its reputation as leaders in the industry.
